Split bills with your roommates, one month at a time
Groceries, internet, cleaning supplies. Somebody always pays, and somebody has to keep track. Put it all in one ledger and settle up the month in one go.
Nobody has to sign up
Add a housemate by name. They hold a real share of every split and count in every close even if they never sign in. If they want in later, hand them a code by message or QR and their history follows them.
Free holds two people. A flat of three or more needs Plus, which has no limit on people within fair use, from $8.99 a month.
Close the month, pay once
Closing the month lists who owes whom in as few transfers as it can. For two people that is one transfer. For a flat, it is never more than one fewer than the number of people.
A payment counts when both people say so
You pay each other outside the app, by bank transfer or in cash. The person who paid marks the transfer paid, and the person who received it marks it received. Until both have, the transfer does not count, and the app never moves money itself.
One roommate’s own shampoo on a shared receipt comes off the receipt first, so nobody pays for it twice.
